Greenwood Centre, NW5
The Greenwood Centre is Camden’s flagship for independent living, offering services that promote inclusion, wellbeing, and autonomy. Since its opening in 2019, GCP has been running community gardening groups here, commissioned by Camden Council.
Mental Health Gardening Group
This group supports individuals accessing mental health services at the Greenwood Centre. Participants help care for a rooftop kitchen garden, ornamental terrace, and rewilded grassland. Activities range from sowing seeds and planting to harvesting and composting—providing therapeutic engagement and a sense of achievement.
Little Mix Gardening Group
Part of the Integrated Learning Disabilities Day Service, this group tends to several ground-floor courtyards, including a food-growing area and wildlife-friendly garden. Their dedication was recognised with a Camden in Bloom award in 2022.
