In 2017, St Paul’s Church invited GCP to create a community garden on part of its grounds. Working with the Rehabilitation Team at the Highgate Hospital, we developed a safe, welcoming green space for patients under section to enjoy time outside the hospital environment.
By 2019, the project had won the National Green Health Award, celebrating our collaboration with the hospital and local community to transform a neglected area into a thriving woodland-edge garden.
Thanks to funding from the National Lottery, the garden is now more accessible and serves a wider community—including the London Irish Centre, Maiden Lane Community Centre, and local primary schools.
